News: Changes to Terms

SciFi Ideas

SciFi Ideas is now operating under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.

This is just a quick update to let you know that SciFi Ideas is now operating under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license. The license permits sharing and alteration of our content, but on the condition that the original creator of that content is credited . This is good news for those of you who share your ideas with SciFi Ideas, as the license provides a legal requirement for others to credit you for your ideas.

The issue of creating a set of legal terms and conditions is something that I’ve been avoiding for a while, but with SciFi Ideas about to begin sharing short stories, I realized that it could no longer be ignored.

For the publishing of short stories, we’ll be using a slightly different license. Our “featured stories” will be published under an Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license which protects against plagiarism.

For more information about these new terms, see the terms and conditions page.

Thanks for reading, and keep on being creative.

Mark Ball (SciFi Ideas administrator)
